Hair Colour: 04 - Very Dark Brown

We promise up to 90% coverage but many of our customers find our colour will cover all their greys! To achieve the best coverage, we recommend using a colour within 1-2 shades of your natural root colour. You should also use our grey coverage mix ratio (1:1, colour to developer) and timing (30-45mins) at your roots.

MIIROKO hair colour is demi-permanent – a hybrid between semi-permanent and permanent colour. Unlike semi-permanent formulas that simply coat the hair’s surface, our colour is paired with a low-volume developer to gently penetrate the hair cuticle for richer, longer-lasting colour. The fresh, glossy and natural result lasts for up to 4-6 weeks – perfect for maintaining your colour between salon visits.

Our colour is intended to slightly darken and maintain your current hair colour, not for major colour transformations. Only bleach and very strong chemicals can lighten hair, which we’ve excluded from our formula to keep your hair healthy after every use. We suggest you go to a hairdresser to get your hair lightened and then you can use our colours to tone and freshen up your colour at home.

Yes – you can use our colour to tone brassiness all over, touch-up root regrowth and refresh old balayage or highlights with one or more shades. However, if you have multi-dimensional blonde, balayage or heavy highlights and you’re trying to match an exact salon tone, we recommend you consider consulting a professional first. You can absolutely use a lighter shade through your existing lighter ends alongside a darker shade at the roots to match your natural colour. This helps maintain natural-looking depth and softly blends regrowth, especially if your ends are lighter from previous highlights, colour or sun exposure.

You need to be careful when going darker over a much lighter base. The tricky part about changing your hair colour from a blonde to brown is that you would need to do it in stages as there is a risk of the colour going a greeny tinge or looking very flat or muddy. Depending on the current depth of your lighter ends, it may be best to use the 08- Dark Blonde on the ends to tone down the blonde first. After you have used this for 2-3 uses you can move on to one darker shade.
