How to use
  1. Take our colour quiz to discover your perfect match
  2. Put on your cape and gloves (these are included in our tool kit!)
  3. Start with dry, brushed hair and section as instructed in your step-by-step guide
  4. Using the bowl and brush, follow your personalised instructions for your perfect mix
  5. Apply the colour to each section 
  6. Rinse by shampooing the hair twice and conditioning from roots to ends
Ingredients

All MIIROKO  hair colours are free from ammonia, PPD and resorcinol, which are the main irritants found in permanent hair colours. MIIROKO colours are formulated with less than 2% ethanolamine, drastically lower than the common 10%+ found in regular hair dyes, and mixed with 3% hydrogen peroxide (vs the 6-9% found in supermarket dyes). This combined with the 8 active care ingredients in the MIIROKO formula mean that customers find that their hair feels more nourished and cared for after using MIIROKO vs other hair dye products.

Can this cover all of my greys?

We promise up to 90% coverage but many of our customers find our colour will cover all their greys! To achieve the best coverage, we recommend using a colour within 1-2 shades of your natural root colour. You should also use our grey coverage mix ratio (1:1, colour to developer) and timing (30-45mins) at your roots.
What does demi-permanent mean?

MIIROKO hair colour is demi-permanent – a hybrid between semi-permanent and permanent colour. Unlike semi-permanent formulas that simply coat the hair’s surface, our colour is paired with a low-volume developer to gently penetrate the hair cuticle for richer, longer-lasting colour. The fresh, glossy and natural result lasts for up to 4-6 weeks – perfect for maintaining your colour between salon visits.
Can this lighten my hair/regrowth?

Our colour is intended to slightly darken and maintain your current hair colour, not for major colour transformations. Only bleach and very strong chemicals can lighten hair, which we’ve excluded from our formula to keep your hair healthy after every use. We suggest you go to a hairdresser to get your hair lightened and then you can use our colours to tone and freshen up your colour at home.
Can I use this if I already have coloured hair, balayage or lighter ends than my natural roots?

Yes – you can use our colour to tone brassiness all over, touch-up root regrowth and refresh old balayage or highlights with one or more shades. However, if you have multi-dimensional blonde, balayage or heavy highlights and you’re trying to match an exact salon tone, we recommend you consider consulting a professional first. You can absolutely use a lighter shade through your existing lighter ends alongside a darker shade at the roots to match your natural colour. This helps maintain natural-looking depth and softly blends regrowth, especially if your ends are lighter from previous highlights, colour or sun exposure.

What if my ends are currently very light/pre-lightened and I want to bring them back to a darker colour like my darker roots.

You need to be careful when going darker over a much lighter base. The tricky part about changing your hair colour from a blonde to brown is that you would need to do it in stages as there is a risk of the colour going a greeny tinge or looking very flat or muddy. Depending on the current depth of your lighter ends, it may be best to use the 08- Dark Blonde on the ends to tone down the blonde first. After you have used this for 2-3 uses you can move on to one darker shade.

    Best I’ve tried so far.

    Ok so I have tried many at home, professional hair colour kits and I have to say this is one of my favourites so far. Colour is gorgeous. Face isn’t stained for days. Does a decent job of colouring greys, though I might try leaving it on a bit longer for the Stubborn ones. Pretty happy so far.

    Took some adjusting but very happy

    Waited to write a review but have used a few times now and super happy.

    My hair is thick and dark brown and first few times did not cover greys as I wanted and reached out to the team and with their guidance now have the perfect way to get the covergae I was after.

    The product does not have a potent smell or stain my skin and leaves my hair feeling good.

    It seems to grow out nicely too. Super happy and recommend. I do get a friend to help me do it but its so easy and the kit is great. So glad I finally tried!!

    Use as a standby product... check the instructions for best results

    Quick delivery and well packaged, but missing instructions not listed on bottles or in the box e.g time to leave in or ratio (how much) of solutions to mix together. It was accurate dark brown colour, and I left in for 30-40mins (given there were no instructions) but colouring was patchy and didn't cover all greys as hoped. Perhaps with better instructions I would have gotten a better result?

    Easy Great Colour!

    I have used Miiroko colour for the past few months and love it! It’s easy to apply. I love that I can colour my hair before an event or on a Sunday. My scalp feels healthier. My husband is improving his skills in hairdressing too, as he applies colour to the back😀.
