How to use
  1. Take our colour quiz to discover your perfect match
  2. Put on your cape and gloves (these are included in our tool kit!)
  3. Start with dry, brushed hair and section as instructed in your step-by-step guide
  4. Using the bowl and brush, follow your personalised instructions for your perfect mix
  5. Apply the colour to each section 
  6. Rinse by shampooing the hair twice and conditioning from roots to ends
Ingredients

All MIIROKO  hair colours are free from ammonia, PPD and resorcinol, which are the main irritants found in permanent hair colours. MIIROKO colours are formulated with less than 2% ethanolamine, drastically lower than the common 10%+ found in regular hair dyes, and mixed with 3% hydrogen peroxide (vs the 6-9% found in supermarket dyes). This combined with the 8 active care ingredients in the MIIROKO formula mean that customers find that their hair feels more nourished and cared for after using MIIROKO vs other hair dye products.

Can this cover all of my greys?

We promise up to 90% coverage but many of our customers find our colour will cover all their greys! To achieve the best coverage, we recommend using a colour within 1-2 shades of your natural root colour. You should also use our grey coverage mix ratio (1:1, colour to developer) and timing (30-45mins) at your roots.

What does demi-permanent mean?

Our hair colour is demi-permanent – a hybrid between semi-permanent and permanent colour. Unlike semi-permanent formulas that simply coat the hair’s surface, our colour is paired with a low-volume developer to gently penetrate the hair cuticle for richer, longer-lasting colour. The fresh, glossy and natural result lasts for up to 4-6 weeks – perfect for maintaining your colour between salon visits.
Can this lighten my hair/regrowth?

Our colour is intended to slightly darken and maintain your current hair colour, not for major colour transformations. Only bleach and very strong chemicals can lighten hair, which we’ve excluded from our formula to keep your hair healthy after every use. We suggest you go to a hairdresser to get your hair lightened and then you can use our colours to tone and freshen up your colour at home.
Can I use this if I already have coloured hair, balayage or lighter ends than my natural roots?

Yes – you can use our colour to tone brassiness all over, touch-up root regrowth and refresh old balayage or highlights with one or more shades. However, if you have multi-dimensional blonde, balayage or heavy highlights and you’re trying to match an exact salon tone, we recommend you consider consulting a professional first. You can absolutely use a lighter shade through your existing lighter ends alongside a darker shade at the roots to match your natural colour. This helps maintain natural-looking depth and softly blends regrowth, especially if your ends are lighter from previous highlights, colour or sun exposure.

What if I just want a tone and refresh all over without covering greys?

Our most gentle mix option to use with our colours is our toner mix, which will not cover any greys but will give greys a slightly translucent appearance. The toner mix is also great for blending out regrowth, toning out any warmth or giving a quick refresh all over. This refresh will last for around 2-3 weeks and will wash from your hair well.

    Amazing hair colour

    I'm so happy with how well this colour has worked on my hair.

    My greys are more prominent around my forehead, being quite white, with peppering through the rest.

    The colour covered them completely and left my hair looking like it had subtle high lights throughout, like the sun would do naturally.

    My hubby said 'wow that's even better than what you had done at the hairdressers. It looks natural'. A very happy first time customer who will definitely be back. I highly recommend.

    Love Miiroko's Hair Dye

    I am allergic to normal hair dye and have to be very careful about the dye I use. Hence I was very happy to discover Miiroko's hair dye a few years ago. Not only is Miiroko's hair dye gentle and didn't trigger any allergic reaction, I also love that I can produce a blended result on my greying hair with 2 selected colours. I currently use Brown on the roots and Dark Blonde on the mid length and ends (suggested by Miiroko) and love the result.

    Love the NO strong chemical smell.

    I would like an ash colour though and TBH I am disappointed in the grey coverage.

    Everything was perfect, packaging was thoughtful and eco-conscious where it could be. Customer service was 10/10. And product worked well. Covered greys nicely, havent washed my hair since so will be interested to see how many washes i get before i meed to touch up again. Definitely recommend.
